Hello Everyone
I hope you all have been doing ok, and keeping safe in these unusual times we find ourselves. First, let me express my gratitude to the doctors and health workers who are working round the clock for endless hours taking care of those who are fighting the virus.
At first, self-isolation was kind of ok, I can take it in stride was my attitude, I went about the house cooking healthy dishes, mindful of packing on the weight, cleaned the house while blasting my favorite songs, played cards and games more often than I liked even Monopoly which I normally decline to play because it can take forever, but after some time the excitement wears off, how many health dishes can you whip up? how much more cleaning can you do? what do you do when you have played all the games and caught up on all your tv programs and movies?
I am sure many of you who are confined to their homes, like myself, mind you for very good reasons felt constrained also, simply because the choice of free movement had been taken away.
The self-isolation and quarantine is for our own good and wellness, we aught to embrace it with patience and calm. This is probably the time to set goals, this is the time to accomplish a task, so I developed a kind of rhythm to keep my day moving forward and before you know it time had passed.
How you ask can one pass away the time while at home, this might be the time to take virtual trips around the world or around cities you have never visited, right from the comfort of your couch, Travel +Leisure is one place to start, or how about taking the children to Disney World not just in the counties were Disney parks are located, but visit Disney parks all over the world without spending a dime, visit Disney virtual rides and start your journey. Have you always wanted to learn a language? now is the time to do so online. For those of us who have always wanted to attend Ivy League Schools but unfortunately couldn't afford it, this might be the time for those classes, Ivy League Schools are offing free classes in a number of subjects, just visit Ivy League Online Courses /Class Central through any of the Ivy League Schools websites and let your free classes begin.
Now I am taking this time of self-isolation quarantine one day at a time, using it wisely to reflect on life, appreciate people in my life and believing God will never leave me.
I hope you find ways during theses unusual times, to discover yourself, set new goals for yourself, take care of each other, and be safe.
This too shall pass.
Much love
Abi
